Margarita Dobrinova Ruseva is a Bulgarian Director, Screenwriter, and assistant director. She is a third-year student in Film Directing at the New Bulgarian University.
Biography
She has worked as a 1st and 2nd assistant director on Bulgarian TV series for NOVA television (“Brothers” S5, “All Inclusive” S5, “The Cage” – S1 and S2), reality shows, and programs (Hell‘s Kitchen S5, “Saturday Night with BNT”), international film productions (some of which are feature films – 2nd Assistant Director, Film Fixers Balkans – “Very close” Italian feature film, and short films – 1st Assistant Director/UPM – “Hansel and Gretel” short, 1st Assistant Director – “HOME” short film, 1st Assistant Director – “Mercury Retrograde” short film, 1st Assistant Director – “Ashes to ashes”, 1st Assistant Director – short film “Animate objects”, 1st Assistant Director – short film “Fallen apples”, 1st Assistant Director – short film – “Shadow of sin”) and music videos (1st Assistant Director, Studio Karakashyan – “Lud” (3 music videos) – singer Emily Toncheva).
She is a motivated and ambitious young individual with a strong desire to tell stories through the language of cinema.
The short film “Angel” is her first project as a director.
She has also directed an online documentary series “Guardians of Stories” for the Bulgarian Women’s Fund, a commercial for the clothing brand “Third Wheel,” the dance short film “Alice,” and the short film “Incident.”
