“Nina Roza” has been officially selected for the main competition of the Berlin International Film Festival 2026.
The film stars Galin Stoev in the leading role and features a remarkable Bulgarian and international cast. It is a four-country co-production between Canada, Italy, Bulgaria, and Belgium.
Directed by Canadian filmmaker Geneviève Dulude-De Celles, “Nina Roza” is a deeply sensitive and intimate story exploring emigration, memory, and the fragile, often painful relationship between a father and his daughter. The film approaches these themes with emotional precision and a quiet strength that stayed with us long after we finished working on it.
We had the privilege to be involved with this project throughout 2025, and seeing it reach the official competition at Berlinale is both moving and inspiring for our entire team. It is exactly the kind of cinema we believe in – honest, human, and crafted with care.
The international sales of the film are handled by the Belgian company Best Friend Forever. The producers are Fanny Drew and Sarah Mannering from Colonel Films (Canada), with co-producers Lorenzo Fiucci and Bardo Tarantelli from UMI Films (Italy), Lyubomira Piperova from Ginger Light (Bulgaria), and Etienne Hancisse and Benoît Hancisse from Echo Bravo (Belgium).
The film is supported by the Bulgarian National Film Center.
We are proud to have been part of the journey of “Nina Roza” and we are truly thrilled by this recognition on one of the world’s most important film festival stages.
